IGLO meeting with Commissioner Gabriel
On the 28th February 2023 IGLO (Informal Group of RTD Liaison Offices in Brussels) met with Commissioner Gabriel, EU Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth. Enterprise Ireland has been an active member of the network for many years and currently co-chairs the IGLO innovation working group with Switzerland.
The aim of IGLO is to facilitate and enhance the interaction, information exchange and co-operation between members of IGLO, their national research systems and the European institutions on issues related to Research and Innovation.
While the IGLO network celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2022, this was the first time the network has met the Commissioner. We discussed many areas including the value of the network, research manager training, science for citizens and building knowledge bridges. We hope the meeting with the Commissioner will become an annual event.
