Transport Research Arena conference in Dublin

The Transport Research Arena (TRA) is the European Commission’s biennial flagship research and innovation event for transport in Europe and for the first time will be held in Dublin's RDS from the 15-18 April 2024.

Advancing Sustainable and Inclusive Mobility 

More than 4000 delegates consisting of European Commission representatives, policy makers, academic researchers, research providers and transport industry representatives from across Europe will attend to discuss the latest in research and innovation in the transport sector.

TRA 2024 will also be a showcase for the best in European innovation and technology development in the mobility space and will cover all aspects of transportation and mobility including aviation, maritime, automotive, rail, urban mobility, as well as cross-cutting topics such as, logistics, new mobility technologies, electromobility, energy for transport and sustainability of the transport system. 

An intrinsic part of TRA 2024 will be the exhibition and technology showcase which will include the European Commission, the Transport related technology platforms and partnerships, large industry and SMEs actively innovating in the mobility space. Enterprise Ireland clients involved will include Provizio, AvTrain, Plasma Bound, Mergon, Ventac, Klas Group, Dennison and others. The event this year will include an Innovation Zone for small companies and startups to display their latest innovations, but also for Horizon Europe projects to present the outcome of their work to date. The event will also have extensive outside demonstrations and technical visits to transport relevant sites across Dublin and the wider region.  

TRA 2024 will also feature a Horizon Europe brokerage to allow investigators to pitch their proposals for the upcoming calls in 2024 as well as meet with potential partners on a one-to-one basis to discuss their ideas. This segment will be managed by the network of European mobility National Contact Points (NCPs) GREENET in conjunction with the European Enterprise Network (EEN).
